OLRFC Rugby4Heroes Patron Karl Hinett honoured with tapestry by artist Grayson Perry at the National Portrait Gallery
Karl recently attended our 3rd Annual Ball and spoke briefly about the his and Hank’s immortalisation in the tapestry.
He also tweeted “Honoured to have been made into a tapestry by #GraysonPerry at the #NationalPortraitGallery“
Karl is a former soldier and now an ultra marathon runner (basically he is a running machine!) and fundraises for Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham whom helped him on his return from Iraq with severe burns. He was recently proud winner of ‘Outstanding Bravery’ Pride of Birmingham Award 2014.
