2015 Rugby4Heroes Festival Profits announced!!

The OLRFC Rugby4Heroes Festival organising team is delighted to announce that the 7th Annual 2015 Festival generated total profits for our Armed Forces charitable causes of £9,420.

 R4H team 2015
This is made up of;

– £7,122 generated from Festival operating profits
 £2,298 generated from direct Charity donations and merchandise sales

We are delighted with this profit figure, bearing in mind ;

– additional investment and operating costs incurred to make our Festival run smoothly and safely
– a slight reduction in customer numbers over the weekend due to a reduction in teams playing in the  tournament versus 2014
– the resumption of normal British weather patterns after the stellar conditions in 2014!

Although it is down as expected on the 2014 result, we beat our operating profit budget of £5k and this is the second highest Festival profit on record since we started in 2009We have now raised a cumulative figure of £63,620 for our benefit charities.

Detailed financial accounts are available for inspection if anyone wishes to review them with the team. They are independently reviewed by our Accountants, Murphy Salisbury & Co, and the Club Treasurer.

We will be arranging to divide the Festival operating profits equally between our four benefit charities and with a payment to RAF Charitable Trust Enterprises for their help in arranging our amazing air displays. Thank you donations will also be made to Leamington Sea Cadets and Warwick Ambulance Services for their weekend volunteering efforts.

Lastly, on behalf of the whole team may we thank you all for your fantastic support this year – this event wouldn’t happen without your generous support and time.

We hope you will feel able to come on board again in 2016, for the 8th Annual Rugby4Heroes Festival taking place over the weekend of 13-15 May 2016. And of course, it will be bigger and better than 2015!
